I want to extend a warm welcome to this poem home.
Enjoy your visit and I hope this will be a source of inspiration and encouragement.
Some of my roles include that of mother, grandmother and kindergarten educator (ret.).
Having composed songs for young children throughout my 27 years in the classroom,
I moved more into poetry following that period.
Please feel welcome to share these offerings with others as well.

Truth

Truth rides in on shining steed,
as it fulfills our every need,
sparkling up its shining trail,
and showing us its windswept tale.

Wind-up toys dissolve in dust,
or sometimes just sit there and rust;
mechanics just play back, repeat,
but know when they cannot compete.

Truth sweeps in with full array,
through clouds and darkness to its day,
where brightness rules and reigns at last
in colorful abundance from the past.

Ruling wisely, ruling well,
rings the freedom of truth's bell,
singing loudly, singing clear,
playing far and praying near.

Time and truth ride high and far,
reaching out to touch each star.
With cleansing swoop and glistening sail,
they clearly,with no doubt, prevail.
